Shane Farley

Shane arrived at KSOK Radio in December 2012 with 15 years experience in the news business. It all started late in 1997 when he stopped in at a Derby newspaper to check on a low level newsroom job. A year later he was the paper’s managing editor and a year after that he was assistant managing editor for the Winfield Courier. Things fell into place a short time later and Shane was promoted to managing editor, a position he held for six years. After, a short stint at the Wichita Business Journal, Shane was back covering news in Cowley County by May 2007. He co-founded and partnered with KSOK Radio to build a leader in local news coverage. He lives in Winfield with his wife, fellow journalist Dakotah Davis and a few cats. Shane was born and raised in Wellington and returns regularly to visit family and friends.
